      Pet Owner Care Representative Interview

      Nov 4, 2018
      Anonymous employee
      Portland, OR
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Vetsource (Portland, OR) in Aug 2018

      Interview

This is a call center position. The one negative I would give t the interview process was the initial phone call. I applied to the position. Then one day at 10AM I get a random phone call and it’s from someone in their HR asking if I have time to answer a few questions. I said yes thinking it was going to be basic contact info/scheduling/resume type stuff. She then proceeds to ask what makes me a good fit for the position. Mind you, I had just graduated and had applied to 15 jobs so it was a struggle to remember what information from the job summary I should integrate into my response as I quickly realized this was essentially an interview. After an in person interview that repeated many of the questions from than phone call I got the job so apparently I didn’t do too poorly on the phone but I just think this is unprofessional. I’ve never had this for any other job I’ve applied to and I think it would be better to at least schedule the time for the phone interview and let candidates know in advance it will contain interview questions.
