I applied for an Executive Assistant role, but was also approached by the Ops person for a recruiter position as well, which already felt disorganized and unclear.
The interview experience itself was disappointing. The interviewer came across as disengaged, uninterested, and unwilling to provide any meaningful insight into the role or the company. There was no effort to explain the team, culture, or why this would be a compelling place to work. It felt one-sided and frankly unprofessional.
I ultimately withdrew from the process based on the overall experience and lack of basic engagement. After reading similar feedback from others, it seems this may not be an isolated issue. If you are going to build a serious company, you really need to step up.
I suspect this is a ghost job. I don't think this company is seriously hiring a recruiter but studying recruiters for research. The Operations team member who is interviewing recruiters recently posted on her Linkedin that she interviewed 100+ recruiters for this role. Anyone who works at a serious startup knows how time consuming interviews are and this company has a lot of time to waste. Don't waste your time interviewing with this company.
I applied online. I interviewed at Virio (San Francisco, CA) in Feb 2026
Interview
Very quick 15 mins interview, focused on what you know about Virio, what have you done before can be useful to the company, what's your previous experience, what they're looking for etc.
