      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Vodafone in Mar 2022

      Interview

Applied on 10th January and completed the HireVue stage. There was 4 Q's and 3 game tasks. In terms of the HireVue stage, there were general STAR Q's and games - you can find examples on YouTube so you can get a feel of what will be expected. However, Vodafone is not an attentive company. After applying, I received no updates on what stage my application was on. So, after a month I sent a follow up email asking what stage my application was at currently as I know graduate programs are competitive. I received a generic reply from the youth recruitment team stating they've had a high number of applicants and currently reviewing them, which I expected. Finally, another month later (2 months from my initial application) I received a generic email stating all the positions have been filled. For a graduate, it seems a waste a time to apply when you are not provided with updates and are expected to do a video interview stage. I would prefer a stricter aptitude & psychometric stage, this way all of the video interviews are actually reviewed. Otherwise, it seems a waste of time to research the company values, mission, culture and current projects.

      Application

I interviewed at Vodafone (Athens, Athens, Attica)

      Interview

It was a 3-4 step interview process. One part was like virtual interview without a human and the other was like reasoning and math test. The automated part was buggy, and they seemed disorganized with it. The in-person one seemed organized but certain employees are cold. Even though it was for a technical stream I could only tell 1 person was an actual "tech" aware person who was interviewing (on my end). Meaning the person was actually someone you could discuss complex technology stuff and can tell he/she understand what you are talking about. They do not really check on your technical skills during most part of the process. The virtual assestment was very time consuming and overall it looked like what they are looking for is someone who fits their box, doesn't question processes, someone that acts like they are a team player and agrees to everything in order to not come across as offensive or problematic even if by doing that will lead a product to fail. Which makes me think that that is why they keep having bad reviews about their customer service, they do not know how to handle or process feedback in the Greece office, though in other countries they seem to be doing better. They ask you to provide "anonymous feedback" in the end (please be wary that even though they say it is anonymous they provide no actual proof that it is, so it might end up being another way by which you are evaluated.) If even though they take much of your time and ask for feedback, don't expect they provide you with feedback. Unfortunately they keep advertizing this opening but there is no transparency on how many people they actually hire and it looks like they already know who they want to hire and they are behind with their interviews. If they end up hiring you they will treat you nice but companies that are worth it treat everyone nice especially the ones that claim to support equality. Enough said.
