I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Voxdata (Toronto, ON) in Apr 2011
Interview
Interview are always walk-in. Once you get in there the receptionist gives you a number and some forms to fill out. The forms include basic demographic and personal questions, a reading comprehension exercise and three passages. The exercise and the personal form you are required to complete while waiting and the three passages you are required to look over as you will have to read one of them out load in front of the interviewer. Once you're called up you again wait into a smaller room with two other people. Then for the actual interview you're asked typical interview questions: Why have you applied for this role, what are your strengths, weaknesses , etc. Then you read one of the passages out load. If everything looks good then you're hired on the spot pretty much.
