I had an interview with a Chinese HR team. It was hard for me to understand their language, which made me slow down during the conversation. I applied to the position after reading their profile, however the job position was not a good fit for me. I realized it by interiewing and asking questions to them.

Question 1
How do you understand Wondershare?
Why did you apply
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Wondershare (Burnaby, BC) in Dec 2023
Interview
I had awful interview experience with Wondershare’s Vancouver office and their team. If you’re considering applying for a job there, here’s something to keep in mind:
Apply if you are hopeless!
The interview process was unnecessarily long, involving four rounds. Throughout, they seemed more focused on finding issues with my resume and experience than on assessing my actual skills. It felt like the interviewers had little understanding of what they are doing or the roles they were hiring for. After a month of interviews, they simply stopped communicating—no feedback, no automated rejection email, nothing.
Totally wasted time!

Question 1
Tell us about the negative aspects you experienced with each of your previous employers.
Terrible. The guy who interviewed me was pretentious and insufferable… From the first 10 min I already knew I didn’t want to work under him LOL he was nitpicking my resume and making me feel stupid every time I answered his questions, replying with “ummmm okay….” in a judgy tone.
I told him I reached a certain number of followers on my TT page, and he looked at resume and said “so, that’s wrong” smugly, when I clearly wrote on my resume that I had REACHED that number at one point. I’m not gonna edit my resume every time I lose followers on my inactive acc???
The interview went on for way longer than I was told for it to go NOWHERE. Plus, they would keep asking me questions abt suggestions for their social media pages, and immediately write down notes after I gave them?? but they didn’t do for anything abt MY experiences? If you guys are only doing these interviews to STEAL ideas and not hire anyone, at least be subtle or try to give af when your interviewee is talking. I came all the way to their office for nothing fr.
Plus the office overall wasn’t very friendly, super difficult to make small talk with anyone.
Edit: It has been weeks since the interview, and they haven't emailed me an update like they said they would. You would think that if I came in person to do an interview, it would be common courtesy to AT LEAST email me a rejection, but they just ghosted me. Thanks a lot guys. Really appreciate it after I went out of my way to meet you in YOUR office.
Plus… the washrooms smell like poop. I’ll leave it at that :)
