Zen Internet interview questions

The interview process is streamlined to two stages, which is good. I went through a recruitment agency. It started with a 30 minute talk with the Team Lead for the team that I would be joining. The interview was relaxed and informal. We discussed my previous experience and more about the role. There were some questions relating to the technology and practices I had used in the past, but nothing too intense. I was then progressed through to the final interview, which is a paired programming task using TDD. Here is where it went wrong, the day before my final interview I received a call stating there had been a mishap and a direct applicant had been hired for the role. There was obviously some communication issues internally.
