They will hire you as long as you are reasonable honest and can pass the ASVAB and Medical screening. Nothing else matters. Once hired they take care of everything. You will be transported to a training facility and given an advance on pay to purchase anything you require, about 200 dollars worth. Then if you complete Basic Training you are now in, then you will be sent to AIT for your actual technical training. If you pass you will be sent to your first duty station in one of upto 80 different countries. If you are unable to complete you AIT, you will either have to start it over (Recycled) or be forced to choose from a small list of other jobs that the military feels you are qualified for and needs to get filled. Once at your first duty station you will be trained on the tasks you need to accomplish. Be aware that once you join you have only a little control over where you go and what jobs you will be performing. I have known many people that have never done the job they were trained to do in AIT.
