Cass Information Systems interview questions

The interview process consisted of three separate rounds of interviews with various people. I started with the CIO which went well so I thought. Then I interviewed with one of the VPs which seemed like a waste of time. Finally, I interviewed with members of the team I’d be working on and that went really well. Then had one minor technical discussion which wasn’t a great way to assess someone’s technical skills. I was then told they didn’t think I had much new development experience even though I’ve been in software development for 10 years and in a manager position for 2 years. I then had to take a technical assessment in 4 different categories (C#, ASP,NET Core 6, Blazor, and SQL) which I did exceptionally well on 3 of the 4. They then had me take 5-6 behavioral and leadership style assessments. All in all, I spent several days and hours just on the interview process just to be told they think I scored low on the leadership assessment and was not a good leader. After discussing with the recruiter, we determined there were some people at Cass that wanted me and others that didn’t. So they used this last test as a way out of considering me for the position. It was the most excessive and wasteful amount of time for an interview I’ve ever been through and I’ve interviewed at Amazon. Cass Information Systems is no Amazon and should not be putting people through such rigorous and quite frankly pointless interview processes. Very disappointing and a little disrespectful in my opinion.
