I recently interviewed for a senior pre-sales role at Gotransverse, coordinated via Alcor, and unfortunately, the experience was both frustrating and disappointing. Despite progressing through several rounds—including a final interview with the CFO—and consistently expressing strong interest in the role, I received no timely updates or clarity from Alcor throughout the process. I was transparent about my situation, including a competing offer with a firm deadline, and made it clear I needed a decision by a certain date. I even delayed accepting the other offer in good faith, believing this process was moving forward. After repeated follow-ups and vague, generic responses from Alcor, I was finally told after the final interview that Gotransverse had concerns about my senior-level capabilities—feedback that could and should have been addressed earlier in the process, especially considering the effort and time invested. To make matters worse, Alcor continued to ask basic process questions—such as budget and logistics—late into the interview cycle, indicating a lack of coordination between them and the client. It felt disorganized and reactive rather than respectful of the candidate’s time and professional commitments. I believe Gotransverse may be a strong company, but their partnership with Alcor reflects poorly on their employer brand. The entire experience left me feeling misled and undervalued as a candidate.
