i3 UI Developer interview questions

Poorly Executed: I had applied through some consultancy. The resume got shortlisted and interview was scheduled. Dint get call at mentioned time and i was given interviewee's number to call directly. Started with what processes we follow. Then suddenly started negating my views and saying the resume doesn't has much according to no of experience. My question: why was it shortlisted in 1st place then.
