      Marketing Manager Interview

      Oct 28, 2024
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Pittsburgh, PA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at myHR Partner (Pittsburgh, PA) in Sep 2024

      Interview

I sent in my resume via Indeed. I received an email inviting me to participate in a one-way video interview. I submitted the interview and then was personally emailed from an HR person at MyHR Partner asking for a few dates and times to participate in a phone interview. I provided this information and was then ghosted until several weeks later when I received a generic email indicated they are continuing to search for candidates that meet their particular criteria. I am not sure what that meant since based on the job description, I have the experience they were looking plus the enthusiasm and passion to drive results. I suspect ageism. I expected better coming from a company that markets themselves that people come first. From their website "With genuine care and unwavering professionalism, we nurture both careers and personal well-being". Ghosting me after I spent time on the video interview and then never responding after asking for my availability and finally sending a generic, thanks but no thanks was very cold and unprofessional and unfortunately not at all consistent with their brand promise.

Hello. My name is Tina Hamilton, and I am the CEO and Founder of myHR Partner. I would like to thank you for your feedback, and I mean that sincerely as we as a company are always looking to improve our processes. I wish I could respond directly to you- so if you are so inclined, please do reach out to me at: Tina@myhrpartner.com. Without being able to look at your application and history, since you wrote this anonymously, I cannot comment fairly on any delays, communications etc. I can however respond to your concerns about ageism. Based on your comments - it seems that you are assuming that we are against hiring people that are over a certain age. I can assure you that there is no truth to this assumption. Our demographic ranges from new college grads all the way to what is considered traditional retirement age or close to this age". In fact, a large percentage of our leadership team falls into this category- including myself! I do hope you will reach out to me so that we can further investigate your experience. As you can see based on our history and previous comments, that this is not a complaint that we have had to rectify in the past, but that does not mean that we are not capable of making errors like this. I will not attempt to defend it, just know that if this was your experience, we do take it very seriously. I stand behind our core values as we all are focused on this day to day and in fact each employee is accountable to our core values. I hope to hear from you. ~Tina
