Purpose: confirm your background, salary expectations, motivation, and availability.
Not usually technical.
3. First-Round Interview
Often with a hiring manager or team member.
Assesses:
Your experience and skills
How you approach problems
Culture fit
May include behavioral questions (“Tell me about a time when…”).
4. Skills Assessment or Technical Test (if applicable)
Could be a coding test, writing task, case study, or role-specific assignment.
Sometimes done before or after the first-round interview.
5. Second-Round or Panel Interviews
Interviews with multiple team members or stakeholders.
Focuses on deeper evaluation of:
Technical strengths
Collaboration and communication
How you handle challenges
Often includes scenario-based questions or a discussion of prior work.
