Description It doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out this school's specialty. New York Medical College (NYMC) confers advanced degrees to those preparing for careers in the medical and health professions. The institution's three divisions (the School of Medicine, the School of Public Health, and the Graduate School of Basic Medical Sciences) offer programs in more than 20 disciplines. NYMC has an enrollment of more than 1,600 students who practice at nearby Westchester Medical Center and Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers' Manhattan location. Founded in 1860, the college has been affiliated with the Archdiocese of New York since 1978. NYMC is part of Touro College.
