In addition to corporate and retail banking, the company offers (through subsidiaries) mutual funds, brokerage, insurance, financial planning, factoring, and other services. The Luksic family, through such entities as Quiñenco and Sociedad Matriz Banco de Chile, controls a majority of the bank. In 2008 Citigroup bought a 10% stake in the bank (with an option to acquire more) from Quiñenco and merged its Chilean operations into Banco de Chile.
