Description There may be more well-known universities in Utah but none with more choices. Weber (pronounced "wee-ber") State University boasts more than 200 certificate and degree programs, which it claims is the most in the state. It grants master's degrees in accounting, athletic training, business administration, criminal justice, education, English, health administration, and nursing. The school also offers online, distance, and evening courses. More than 21,000 students attend the university, which has campuses Ogden and Layton, Utah. It was founded as Weber Stake Academy in 1889 and officially became Weber State University in 1991.
