Description Pro EMS has served the City of Cambridge, Massachusetts since 1969, providing 911 emergency medical services in cooperation with the Cambridge Fire, Police and Emergency Communications Departments.

In addition to serving the City of Cambridge, we provide emergency medical services to Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Pro EMS partners with Emerson Hospital to provide advanced life support (ALS) services to the communities of Boxborough, Carlisle, Concord, Lincoln, Maynard, Stowe and Weston, collectively know as the the Central Middlesex Emergency Response Association (CMERA), operating under the Emerson Paramedics brand. Primary backup services are provided to the towns of Watertown and Belmont.

Our paramedics receive continuous training in EMS best practices and provide clinically sophisticated prehospital care. Ongoing paid continuing education and recertification is offered cost-free, both in-house through the Center for Medics and remotely through PRODIGY, our online learning management system.

Pro EMS has been recognized by state and national organizations for its commitment to excellence. Pro EMS was the first ambulance service in Massachusetts to be accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS) and we're a current member of the Academy of International Mobile Healthcare Integration (AIMHI), a national collective of high-performance EMS systems.
