I worked at Codeworks as a contractor (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I was a former contractor with codeworks for about 7 years with multiple different projects/clients. They took care of me the whole time. They tried to give me a raise pretty consistently depending also on the project. With the last project, one of the stipulations was that the client can hire me full time if they want. Regretfully, I would like a full time position after being a contractor for a while

    Cons

Nature of being a contractor. At the mercy of client and available projects.

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Codeworks (Milwaukee, WI).

    Interview

Phone interviewed and asked for references. Phone interview was extremely positive and I alerted references to likely inquiry. I waited 2+ weeks for a response to no avail. To me, this is HIGHLY unprofessional, to ask for references, without calling them. I value and respect my references and to tell them to expect a call, and then no call is made, is just, completely unprofessional. In 10 years of contracting, I've never experienced this degree of unprofessionalism.
