I have been working at Computer Design and Integration full-time
It's definitely a work hard/play hard environment. Most people really show up and bring their A game, which is inspiring.
It's definitely a sales driven company and communication from the top down is not always easy to get. We are currently working on that, so hopefully it will improve. Office environment lacks excitement or enthusiasm - some groups can work from home, so it's often very empty.
Advice to Management
Offer a few of the perks that other companies offer. Flex hours, maybe a meal or two brought in a week. The employee trip is really great - makes everyone feel valued, but there are less expensive, easy ways to do that through the year.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Computer Design and Integration (Charlotte, NC).
Not intense but repetitive. You'll meet with everyone but more so to see if you're a cultural fit in their Charlotte office which tends to be riddled with social conflict.
There is small room for negotiation but don't expect much wiggle room. I went from $60K to $65K but I'm from New York where I left $105K on the table. So huge adjustment down here.
