Our practice focus is shared between insurance and wealth advisement. The average tenure of our staff is 20.8 years, but many of our staff and partners today have been with us much longer. Many individuals who have interned with us with the goal of working in adjacent fields (not necessarily insurance or finance) have evolved into leaders within their own specialties, like accounting, law, and actuarial services, and we are very proud to play a small role in their career journeys. Professionalism & Work Environment – Our offices are open-concept and client-facing, and we expect all staff and leadership to maintain a high standard of conduct, confidentiality, discretion, and respect for time and space. To protect client privacy, work areas are smartphone and smartwatch-free.
Scheduling & Breaks – We offer flexible start and end of day with lunch and working hours and days are discussed directly with employees, and reasonable accommodations are made. Requests for time off are submitted, reviewed in advance through HR software, and approved in coordination with staff who are encouraged to communicate scheduling needs in advance.
Workload & Priorities – As a high-service practice, some roles require responsiveness during client appointments, but we do not expect anyone to work off the clock or skip breaks. During work hours, employees are expected to remain focused on their professional responsibilities rather than personal matters. We understand emergencies arise and are flexible in those situations.
Compensation & Payroll – Employees are paid hourly or salaried according to their classification, and payroll is automatically issued on a regular schedule. All employees with a banking relationship receive electronic direct deposit. Physical checks are available when needed or preferred. As eligible, paid time off and holidays are tracked in each staff member's account in HR software; paid time off is accrued annually.
Policies & Conduct – We maintain clear standards for workspace etiquette, hygiene, privacy, attendance, and confidentiality, and these apply to every member of the team. Because we operate in a highly regulated industry, honesty, transparency, and accuracy are essential, and all employees are expected to uphold those standards. Every staff member is required to have background checks and formally acknowledge and comply with the practice's expectations.
