Today, we're spotlighting one caregiver's journey from RN Resident to Cardiac RN at Kadlec. Meet Jack. From day one, Jack was met with support from his team and leadership to help ease his transition from school to the floor. He was paired with several preceptors, providing him access to a range of nursing styles and wisdom, which helped him develop his own preferences on everything from patient communication to decision-making. New nurses also participate in a robust didactic program to further build their skills and confidence in the hospital. The emphasis placed on development and teamwork made Jack feel comfortable leaning on other caregivers at any level for support. “I could go to anyone, from my manager to my educator, with any questions... We offer over 24 specialties to choose from, all following the same learning structure to help nurses feel confident in their role: 1. Pre-learning online coursework 2.
