    Application

    I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Inktel (Miami, FL).

    Interview

    First contacted by a senior recruiter, very professional, then performed phone and on-site interviews. All progressed well, and recruiter constantly provided feedback. At the end, recruiter informed the CEO decided not to pursue because it was noted I had a foreign accent. Hard to believe, specially if the company is headquartered in South Florida. It was his view that US clients don't appreciate conducting business with people that speak English with an accent. I landed a customer career position with a large mobile operator in the US where diversity is highly appreciated, and I am not contracting work from companies with exclusive mindset or policies.
