In 2010, the world watched as 33 Chilean miners, trapped 2,300 feet underground for 69 days, were miraculously rescued. The global rescue effort involved numerous organizations, and Aries Industries played a key role in this historic mission. When the miners were first located through a borehole, Aries was asked to provide a specialized camera system capable of fitting through a small 2-inch diameter hole to reach the miners’ location. Within 48hrs, Aries shipped the WC1750 camera, which not only confirmed the miners were alive but also captured iconic footage of them underground. This collaboration between Aries, the Chilean government, NASA & others became a symbol of innovation & teamwork In November 2023, three puppies fell into a sewer in San Antonio, TX. Two were rescued right away but one was trapped, so one of our local customers used our equipment to help nudge the puppy named Pipa, 200ft down the pipe to be rescued.
