I worked at Net Transcripts as a contractor (More than a year)
Pros
This truly is a job that you can fit into whatever time frame you want, whether you're one of those early morning people, or a late owl, or have holes in your schedule throughout the week. I did transcribing in their Law Enforcement division and found much of the work rather fascinating. I also found the support staff to be truly supportive and quick to respond to questions.
Cons
It may not be the best paying job around, but you can make some decent money if you are a fast typist, an organized person, and have a good ear for the nuances of various accents. There is, of course, a training period and I began to wonder if I was ever going to get "real" assignments. But those came soon enough!
Advice to Management
Just keep recruiting. There are many people who will find this the perfect opportunity for them.

Application
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Net Transcripts (Phoenix, AZ) in March 2013.
Interview
Simple, they will send you audio recordings that you transcribe. They will review and let you know what you should have done differently. The recordings are not long. You are not paid for this process.
Interview Questions
Negotiation
There was no negotiation phase. They tell you what they pay. No raises either.
