Founded in the Lone Star State in 2010 under the name Promo Labs, we began our path to success by creating email campaigns for promotional product distributors. In 2012, we expanded our platform to include social media marketing and are now servicing real estate, insurance, mortgage and other small business professionals.
The marketing services we provide to our customers combine industry best practices from content marketing, email marketing, and social media marketing. We turn great business people into incredible relationship people by cultivating their audiences until they’re ready to do business.

Marketing crafts the content we sell, from email newsletters to social media campaigns. They assist our sales team by targeting potential leads with information about OE, advertising on different channels, and making our products as professional as possible. They are the voice of OutboundEngine, building and strengthening our brand every day.
Our Engineers keep the OutboundEngine train rolling, building and improving the systems that make what we do possible. It’s with their skills and expertise that we are able to offer new products, create enhanced user experiences, and capitalize on the vast amounts of data we acquire.

I worked at OutboundEngine full-time (Less than a year)
PTO is amazing, we are not micromanaged, two weeks vacation around the holidays paid, base salary is average, and you can control monthly commissions which averages around $300 a month extra. The commission could be higher depending on metrics. We get random company lunches, happy hours, and group activities. We have snacks and drinks, coffee, and espresso machine.
The management is super lenient and at times too nice. They try to help you as much as possible. If you ask they will help you.
We get above average insurance plans that include, dental, vision. Automatically everyone had life insurance up to $50k.
OutboundEngine provides parking downtown, or if you prefer to take the metroRail or bus. OutboundEngine reimburses your cost for Capital metro. So it's like $98 a month, and OutboundEngine covers the cost.
You get to work with a growing and changing team.
The ability to get promoted is extremely high. Normally customer success at OutboundEngine is the stepping stone to other roles within the company. And some reps have moved on from OutboundEngine customer success to more lucrative jobs after OutboundEngine.
We are in a temporary growing pains stage of the company. Although this is the case our clients still come first. We don't push trash onto our clients like a review posted before.
We don't do an account ownership type system. Example: 1 Rep may handle 300 clients.
Clients may call in whenever they need help.
It can be overwhelming in the beginning to understand how to address the customers concerns and also how to be creative when taking about the customers business, and see if the client needs another OutboundEngine program.
Advice to Management
Provide new trainings concerning social platforms, trainings on a weekly basis, and lead by example.
AGE DISCRIMINATION - I was recruited on LinkedIn to come tour the office, listen to phone calls, see what everything was about etc. We had a couple brief exchanges with recruiters and sales managers. They told us if they saw potential in us we would get a call back to come in for a formal interview. As I was leaving I got verbal that I was the first person they would call.
Sure enough, I got a call from an internal recruiter the next day to schedule a formal interview. I prepared vigorously and went in feeling great. I was to meet with the recruiter for a short interview before interviewing with the SVP of Sales. Everything was going great until I was asked my age. Big no no, that I was unaware of being a naive young professional. I was 19 years old at the time. I answered honestly and the recruiter immediately sent me home. She didn't even let me go through to meet with the SVP. It was huge disappointment and a terrible look for the company.
It's been a couple years since this happened and I still sometimes think about it. Needed to get that off my chest.
