I worked at Reed & Reed full-time (Less than a year)
The summer months are busy with projects. Company has erected 90% of the wind towers in New England, so if you want to work on a wind project, then this is the company to work for. Overtime hours are available. Foreman are experienced and knowledgeable regarding their specific task(s).
The amount of overtime varies drastically depending on the crew you are placed on. The members on your crew can make or break the experience you have working for the company.
Advice to Management
Periodic internal review of crews to see how they are performing could increase efficiency and effectiveness. Not just talking the the foreman, but to the crew members individually to gauge how the job site activities are going.
I applied in-person. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Reed & Reed (Durham, NH) in March 2014.
Career fair to in-person interview. One on one interview with VP of company for 15min. No surprises. Received a call back within the month and given a week to decide on the position.
