    I have been working at Roper Technologies full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Working at the corporate office of the parent company, I see endless opportunities for exposure to new technical issues to research and from which to learn. Team members are expected to be competent, which minimizes micro-management. The pay and benefits provide incentive for continued self-improvement.

    Cons

    Local property values are high, translating to higher cost of living if you want to live close to the office. Some of the local resources are lacking in interpersonal skills, sometimes being difficult to communicate with or behaving rudely when stressed. There are few administrative personnel, so everyone must do for themselves tasks that might be done by administrative resources at other companies.

    Advice to Management

    Provide more direct and clear explanation of performance expectations, as well as specific performance feedback, in a timely manner. Encourage efficiency improvement projects on a larger scale in order to take advantage of new technologies that cut down on administrative burden and manual data manipulation/analysis.
