Network18 is a holding company that owns TV news channels, Web sites, business publications, and other media-related interests seen across India, from New Delhi to Bangalore. Network18 has a 51% stake in two other publicly traded companies: TV18, India's leading business news television channels (including multiple CNBC affiliates), and ibn18, which broadcasts general news and entertainment (such as CNN-IBN). ibn also operates a joint venture with Viacom, called Viacom18, which broadcasts the MTV, VH1, and Nickelodeon channels in India. Through its various holdings, Network18 also owns an Internet company, Web18; a newswire service, Newswire18; and a production company, Studio18 (sense a pattern here?).
