Brainspark focuses on early stage investments in information technology and communications companies. Its holdings consist of stakes in about a half-dozen firms in the US, the UK, Italy, Israel, and China, including software developer Advanced Computer Systems and logistics and fulfillment services provider Metapak, as well as China IPO Group, which, as its name suggests, invests in companies in its home market with an eye towards taking them public. Brainspark plans to undergo a split in which China IPO Group and its holdings will be spun off and Brainspark will enact a reverse merger with Mediapolis, which is building a theme park in Italy.
