Figuring that most businesses will be on the Web sooner or later, Catalog.com is looking to its roots in Oklahoma as it rushes to stake its claim as a Web host for small and midsized companies. Formerly known as Ethos Internet Services, Catalog.com offers dedicated and shared (running more than one site on a server) Web hosting, and domain name registration. Its proprietary Web-based software facilitates online catalog and auction operations. Its WebHero product offers a-la-carte domain registration and hosting services to small businesses. Major shareholders include CEO Robert Crull, who, along with former CTO Bill Miller, launched the company in 1994.
