Established in 1944. The story of WGH plays a big part in the history of the Central Oahu Community it serves. WGH resulted from the effect of World War II. With the expectation of wartime casualties, the Hawaii Office of Civil Defense set up an emergency medical facility on the site of Wahiawa Elementary School.

Wahiawa General Hospital is a community-owned, nonprofit hospital located in Wahiawa, Hawaii, on the island of Oahu. We offer a wide array of both inpatient and outpatient health services to fulfill the needs of our community. Through advanced technology and the professional expertise of our healthcare professionals, we provide quality care for a wide range of medical conditions in a friendly, caring environment. Outpatient services are medical procedures or tests that can be done in a medical center without an overnight stay. Many procedures and tests can be done in a few hours, which include:

* Diagnostic Imaging
* Emergency Department
* Laboratory
* Outpatient Rehabilitation Services
Inpatient care is medical treatment administered to a patient whose condition requires treatment in a hospital or other health care facility, and the patient is formally admitted to the facility by a doctor.
* Critical Care
* Medical Telemetry Unit
* Wahiawa Nursing & Rehabilitation Center
