Gieves & Hawkes has been outfitting Jeeveses (and their boss-hawks) for the past 200 years. Gieves & Hawkes is an exclusive Savile Row custom tailor. The company was founded at No. 1 Savile Row in 1785 (Gieves merged with Hawkes, which was founded in 1771) and has continued with the traditional way of hand-crafting suits ever since. It was also the first Savile Row tailor to make and (secretly) sell ready-to-wear suits in the 1920s. In 2003 the company launched Gieves, its own fashion collection and four spin-off stores with the same name. Its products are sold through about 80 stores in Europe and Asia. It is owned by USI Holdings, which is controlled by Wing Tai Holdings.
