The firm often partners with companies in order to accomplish medium-to long-term growth. Past investments include Aegon, Bayer, Dexia, and Mobistar. Current holdings include auto glass manufacturer Belron, limestone company Carmeuse, and alcoholic beverage maker JF Hillebrand. Cobepa was founded in 1957 and is a former subsidiary of BNP Paribas. It is now owned by its management.
