S.T. Dupont is one of the world's top makers of luxury lighters and high-end pens (some are made with precious metals and with Chinese lacquer). While lighters and pens account for a majority of the company's sales and are prized by collectors, S.T. Dupont also markets other luxury items, such as fragrances, jewelry, leather goods, cigar accessories, and USB keys. The company's offerings are distributed to specialty retailers worldwide, and they are also sold in more than 200 company-owned stores and shop-within-shops. Simon Tissot Dupont founded the firm in 1872, and Hong Kong retail investor Dickson Poon controls S.T. Dupont.
