Description Pharmasave wants to preserve the integrigy of the pharmacy industry. Pharmasave Drugs (National) Ltd. is Canada's third-largest pharmacy operator (based on store count) behind Katz Group, and Shoppers Drug Mart. The drugstore chain operates more than 400 independent franchises in nine of Canada's 10 provinces (except Quebec, where Jean Coutu leads the drugstore market) under the Pharmasave banner. Franchisees control their own stores but are provided with signage, merchandising, and other support from Pharmasave's company headquarters. Founded in 1981, the drugstore chain is governed by its members.
