Alacritech was founded in 1997 by IBM veteran Larry Boucher, the inventor of SCSI (small computer system interface), who also founded Adaptec and Auspex Systems. Investors include Alloy Ventures, Benchmark Capital Partners, Quantum Technology Ventures, and Redpoint Ventures.
