Silver Diner offers something nostalgic for dinner. Silver Diner Development owns and operates 2 Brands with 17 restaurants in the Washington, DC/Baltimore metropolitan area. Silver Diner recreates the look and feel of a 1950s diner. The eateries, appointed with polished stainless steel, glass blocks, and tabletop jukeboxes, offer such time-honored diner fare as buttermilk pancakes, meatloaf, and apple pie. Silver Diner locations are typically open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night meals. CEO Bob Giaimo and executive chef Ype Von Hengst started the company in 1989. Silver evokes the art deco of the 1920s in an upscale polished casual setting. It offers an elevated dining experience with craft cocktails, local brews, dishes made from farm fresh ingredients, and a refined atmosphere that brings upscale dining to all. Our award winning Fresh & Local Menu with surprising flexitarian & healthy options bridges the gap between tablecloth restaurants and ho-hum fast food. We make our cuisine with the highest quality ingredients from our direct partnerships with over 15 local farms that focus on organic and sustainable farming.
