Court Square Capital Partners is courting technology, health care, industrial and media companies. Spun off from Citigroup in 2006, the private equity and venture capital firm (formerly Citicorp Venture Capital) specializes in buyouts of middle-market companies. A long-term investor, Court Square Capital manages approximately $6 billion of capital commitments and takes an active role with its investments, helping to improve operational efficiency and often making add-on acquisitions. In order to avoid potential conflicts of interest with its customers or its other investment funds, Citigroup no longer has equity in Court Square Capital.
