Reshaping mental health care through the delivery of a new model Unifying Specialties of Mental Health Practice. Starting with a psychiatric evaluation of the individual patient, we incorporate brain health research, incorporating cutting edge treatment approaches and advances in medicine.
We feel that nothing is more important than our mental health. And nothing is more complex. At Island Psychiatry, we believe that treating complex mental health issues requires us, as doctors and therapists, to have a relentlessly energetic commitment and often a team approach without constraints. Our private, confidential, stand-alone, relaxing setting allows patients to immediately experience some relief.
Our team is working to acknowledge and address the barriers to obtaining quality, caring, equitable, and comprehensive mental health care. Four common barriers that we are tackling head on are Insurance, Cost, Stigma and Fear.
