      Description Escort has built a business to help escort its customers safely past radar guns. The company, best known for manufacturing laser and radar detectors, primarily sells its products under its flagship Passport brand. It also makes the SOLO battery-operated radar and laser detector, as well as the Road Tech detector through a joint venture with Harley-Davidson. Escort launched its RedLine radar and laser detector in 2009. The product rollout follows the launch in 2007 of its global positioning system version of Passport, which offers TrueLock to eliminate false alerts. Falconhead Capital LLC owns a majority stake in the company. Escort executives switched seats in 2008.
