Nutra Pharma is a biotechnology holding company active in several areas. The company's ReceptoPharm subsidiary holds a pipeline of drug candidates that may eventually treat HIV/AIDS, rabies, and other viral and neurological diseases as well as pain. Another subsidiary, NanoLogix, develops diagnostic test kits to identify infectious diseases, while its Designer Diagnostics subsidiary markets and sells the test kits. One product in development as a possible therapy for MS was based upon cobra venom. That product was then reformulated and launched commercially as an over-the-counter topical analgesic for chronic pain, under the brand name Cobroxin.
