We are here 24/7 – the only hospital serving the high-density area of East Los Angeles. We understand the impact we have on our neighbors and our potential to improve the overall health of the communities we serve. In a recent survey of employees across our Pipeline Health organization, employees told us that the work they do is meaningful to them. Survey respondents gave this statement an average score of 4.6 on a scale of 1-5, with 5 being “strongly agree.” Among our recent accomplishments: -Renovated Emergency Department facilities to create enhanced efficiency, including eight emergency rooms, emergency lobby and support areas. -Received geriatric Emergency Department accreditation from the American College of Emergency Physicians for excellent care of older adults. East Los Angeles Doctors Hospital is a part of the Pipeline Health system, along with our four affiliated hospitals: Memorial Hospital of Gardena, Coast Plaza Hospital and Community Hospital of Huntington Park. Together, we have created an innovative Patient Hub – a transfer center that moves eligible patients from other hospitals to available beds in our hospitals for quality care. We are here 24/7 – the only hospital serving the high-density area of Huntington Park, Maywood, Vernon, and Bell Gardens. And we’ve been doing that for decades. We understand the impact we have on our neighbors and our potential to improve the overall health of the communities we serve. In a recent survey of employees across our Pipeline Health organization, employees told us that the work they do is meaningful to them. Survey respondents gave this statement an average score of 4.6 on a scale of 1-5, with 5 being “strongly agree.” Inside our hospital, our dedicated team enjoys a family-like work environment. Following are a few of our recent accomplishments: -Received geriatric Emergency Department accreditation from the American College of Emergency Physicians for excellent care of older adults. -Enhanced operational focus on Emergency Department throughput, including reconstruction of the EMS ambulance entrance. -Completed remodel of 12 inpatient rooms. -Received $120,000 CalBridge Navigator Grant to increase access to addiction and mental health treatment. -Piloted the innovative ER Fast Pass program to help patients move through the ER faster by decreasing patient processing time. In addition, we frequently go out into the community to provide blood pressure screening, blood sugar testing and health education.
