Founded in 2013, AMOpportunities provides international medical students and graduates with clinical experiences in the U.S. Following quick growth, in the fall of 2017, AMO won the University of Chicago’s New Venture Challenge. Our company experienced a second rapid growth spurt, growing from five to 25 employees, opening a new office, recruiting more physicians, and bringing in even more international medical students and graduates to the U.S.
Our platform manages clinical training at hospitals for visiting trainees globally. Growing healthcare worker shortages, especially today, necessitates more training. Healthcare schools require two or more years of on-the-job training at hospitals to graduate students. More than 27% of U.S. physicians are internationally trained. AMO’s managed clinical training creates demand on both sides. Hospitals need pipelines for international doctors and revenue while students need access to U.S. clinical training. We lead with our quality, selection, software, and services.
