Pulp is anything but fiction at Millar Western Forest Products. The company is a leading producer of bleached chemi-thermo-mechanical pulp. The pulp is used by other manufacturers to make printing, writing, and specialty papers as well as paperboard, tissue, and paper towels. Through a company-owned mill in Whitecourt, Alberta, and a managed mill in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan, Millar produces 450,000 metric tons of pulp per year. The company also produces 300 million board feet of kiln-dried spruce, pine, and fir lumber from two sawmills in Whitecourt, and Boyle, Alberta. Millar Western Industries Ltd. owns the company.
