With Novadaq, doctors can see the light. Novadaq Technologies produces medical imaging devices that are used during surgeries. Its SPY Intra-Operative Imaging System uses the fluorescent properties of indocyanine green dye to give surgeons new views of the arteries and grafts they're working on during coronary or reconstruction surgery. The company's PINPOINT imaging system is used to identify healthy and cancerous tissues during lung surgeries. Novadaq is also developing the OPTTX System to diagnose and treat age-related macular degeneration (AMD) -- it combines two functions, imaging and cauterizing, into one device.
