B-Bop's operates and franchises seven fast-food restaurants in central Iowa specializing in a traditional menu of hamburgers and fries. The double drive-through eateries, known for their distinctive 1950s-inspired exteriors and '50s-era music, also offer pork loin fritters, chicken sandwiches, chili, salads, and chocolate shakes. Company president Bob Johnson, who began his restaurant career in the 1970s at an Illinois chain called Mr. Quick, opened the first B-Bop's in 1988.
