Description Total Access Communications (doing business as "dtac") keeps Thais in total access via cell phones. The company provides wireless telecom services and equipment to about 15 million customers, It also offers Internet service and in 2008, dtac launched cell phone banking with KASIKORNBANK. With a nearly 30% market share, dtac is Thailand's second-largest wireless telecom, behind AIS. It also operates a chain of retail stores throughout Thailand. Dtac is owned by United Communication Industry (UCOM), which is in turn owned by the Asia unit of Norway's Telenor. It's the first Thai company to be listed on both the Singapore and Thai stock exchanges. The company kicked off operations in 1989.
