We share the mission of providing the highest quality services for children with special needs. We strive to maximize each child’s potential through implementing a successful combination of intervention strategies in a safe and nurturing environment to encourage positive change. By working together and supporting clients and their families with empathy and respect we can make a fundamental difference in improving the quality of life for that child and family.
South Shore Therapies began as a concept when Stacey Szklut, MS, OTR/L recognized a great need for high-quality, personalized occupational therapy services on the South Shore of Massachusetts and Cape Cod. The concept became a reality in April 2004 when South Shore Therapies, specializing in sensory integration intervention, opened its doors in Weymouth. In 2006 South Shore Therapies began to provide speech and language services and, shortly thereafter, opened our second site in Pembroke. We continued to grow and expand our clinical expertise to meet the needs of the community. In August 2018 we opened our third site in Norwood. When our original Weymouth site could no longer meet our capacity we created a new state of the art space in Hingham in January 2020. South Shore Therapies is constantly growing in order to best meet the needs of the families within our community. No matter our size, our goal at South Shore Therapies remains the same - to work together with clients and families to create “Results that Make a Difference”.
