The not-for-profit corporation owns and operates the storied franchise, which was founded in 1919 by Earl "Curly" Lambeau and joined the NFL in 1921. The team is also the only community-owned franchise in American professional sports with more than 100,000 shareholders. The shares do not increase in value nor pay dividends, and can only be sold back to the team.
