Description Skyhorse Publishing was launched in September 2006 by Tony Lyons, former president and publisher of Lyons Press, and its first titles were published in March 2007. As of Spring 2019, the company has had fifty New York Times bestsellers.

Through its eighteen imprints, Skyhorse publishes an eclectic and maverick list of titles.
