Description Toray Composite Materials America, Inc. (CMA) is a subsidiary of the Tokyo-based Toray Industries.

Toray Composite Materials America, Inc. (CMA) head quartered in Tacoma Washington begun producing advanced composite materials in 1992. First used on the Boeing 777, CMA’s Tacoma plant supplies a diverse customer base both domestically and internationally.

In 1997, CMA’s Decatur plant was established, – incorporated in Morgan County. CMA Decatur operates production lines from precursor to carbon fiber and has a diverse base of customers in aerospace, defense, industrial, and automotive.

CMA’s newest plant in Spartanburg, SC will be an integrated facility producing precursor, carbon fiber and prepreg in a single manufacturing facility.

With a nationwide footprint, and more than 1,000 employees, the prepreg and carbon fiber facilities operate 24/7. This allowing Toray CMA to be a global leader manufacturing composite materials for aerospace, sports, recreational and industrial markets.
